Emerson once said, "Insist on yourself; never imitate...every man is unique." I hope to be that way in every breath that I breathe, in every song that I sing, and every dance that I dance... My dance has taken me on quite the journey over the years! Right now I am living in Terrace, BC with my best friend and husband Matt and my little sister Heather... we're better together... I work at the hospital as a RN and am working toward my nursing specialty certificate in Critical Care... a journey for sure!

Mercy Seat

The Mercy Seat... The Mercy Seat was the top section, or lid, of The Ark of the Covenant which contained The Ten Commandments...
The original Hebrew word translated as Mercy Seat is (pronounced) kap-po-reth, and means to cover, in two ways; as a noun, meaning a lid, or a top, but also, based on the Hebrew root from which it was derived, as a verb meaning to pardon, or to atone for, as in to cover a debt.
"And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above The Mercy Seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon The Ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel." (Exodus 25:17-22 KJV)
It was from the Mercy Seat that God spoke to Moses... it is from the mercy seat, or place of atonement, that God speaks to me. It is in my weakness that He is made strong and in my times of need that his provision is seen like the noonday sun... His love is so incredible...to know that he is calling me and that his grace is calling, that his blood provides the healing... It is an attitude of surrender, of reckless abandonment... running to the mercy seat... his mercy hovers there... its where I am running to - his covering, his mercy seat...
